The Joint Operational Medicine Information Systems program management office, under the Program Executive Office, Defense Healthcare Management Systems, provides health information technology capabilities to meet existing and emerging operational medicine requirements. JOMIS manages and maintains the Theater Medical Information Program-Joint, the primary tactical medical system used by combatant commanders, joint task force commanders, the services and their medical support staff. JOMIS continues to deploy modernized and enhanced capabilities across the full breadth of operational medicine health care functions, including health care delivery, patient movement, medical command and control, medical situational awareness, and medical logistics.
