Session Description: Becoming a SEMA is not the end of a medic's career, it IS the beginning of giving back to the SOF medic community (or SOF Medics) that has each one of us the education, equipment, and experiences that have made us who we are. It is the time where Senior, highly experienced medics do their part to ensure the next generation of medics have what they need to be successful and continue on the legacy.
What is a SEMA exactly; what do they do exactly; what are they expected to know; how are they integral ? How do they fit into the overall structure of the behind-the-scenes functions of SOF units?
Learning Objectives:
List the SEMA's duties and responsibilities at various HQ levels.
Describe what are the character traits that compose a SEMA.
Explain the leadership pathway toward becoming a SEMA.
