HM1(FMF/EXW) (ret) Eric Dodson qualified as a paramedic and later joined the Navy. After completing Naval Hospital Corpsman “A” School and Field Medical Training Battalion, he deployed to Afghanistan with the 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing. Thereafter, he deployed to Okinawa with 3rd Battalion 6th Marines. He was then selected for Naval Special Warfare Command at Dam Neck in Virginia Beach, where he provided high-risk medical support including clinical and emergency medicine. After 11 years of active duty, he transitioned to the Reserves in 2019, serving until 2021. Mr. Dodson earned a Bachelor’s degree in Biobehavioral Health from Penn State in 2023 and a Master’s degree in Biomedical Science from Midwestern University in 2024. Currently, he is a student at Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine, a trainer at Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC), and a CDMRP Consumer Reviewer. He has a passion for prehospital medicine and medical education.
