MAJ (Dr.) Chelsea Ausman is a board certified Emergency Medicine physician with advanced training in Emergency Medicine Ultrasound through the Darnall Army Medical Center fellowship and a teaching fellowship through ACEP/CORD. She has additional ultrasound qualifications as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) and certifications by the Gulf Coast Ultrasound Institute. During her fellowship at CRDAMC she modernized the current EMUS resident curriculum and served as EUS rotation coordinator for medical students, EM-PAs and residents. In her local civilian community, she helped develop the ultrasound curriculum for the Austin-Travis County EMS and San Antonio Fire that taught over 800 paramedics prehospital ultrasound skills. She routinely presents at local and regional grand rounds lectures and at national and international medical conferences. She also has coordinated several large scale ultrasound skills labs for regional civilian organizations, local military units, and several EM national conferences. She currently serves with the U.S. Army in Germany as an emergency physician for the 67th Forward Resuscitative Surgical Detachment and Landstuhl Regional Medical Center. She is also the CME planner and Grand Rounds Coordinator for the 519th Hospital Center.
